"I have been a child care provider throughout the Halifax area and love being able to help kids learn and evolve into bright young individuals. Having been an an elementary school teacher for 10+ years, teaching has always been my first love. I am fortunate, the families I've worked with have been extremely loyal to me and have stated they would not like to find anyone else to care for their children. They find me reliable and responsible and very kind and gentle to their children. I myself have three beautiful children and know what a precious gift our little souls are. I have a Masters degree in Business Administration, and would be happy to give references for my work." -Ayeshah Azmatullah

We also have a modern surveillance system installed which records all activity and can monitor the entire premises including your children all at the same time. We are aware of anyone entering the yard or if your child wakes from a nap with instant notifications on our phone. My home and the entire backyard perimeter is enclosed by a fence.
This is a premium quality daycare catering to toddlers 18 months to 3.5-4 years of age. The children we look after in this time period are prepped and ready for pre-school. We loosely follow a Montessori philosophy by nurturing and fostering natural interest and cognitive learning, encouraging exploration and problem solving skills. I believe that engaging them early in normal day to day activities paves the way for building confidence, cooperation, creativity, learning and leadership. Establishing routines help children feel safe, develop life skills and build healthy habits. Our daily activities include arts and crafts, music, sensory activities, story time, free play and outdoor play. Also introducing basic science and social development. We teach them life skills at a toddler age, encouraging their independence, social skills and prepare them for pre-school.
"Since our child has started with Ayeshah's at her daycare, we have noticed nothing but positive changes in our daughter with behaviour, speech, patience, potty training .. etc.. she absolutely loves getting dropped off and is always so happy in the photos and updates I get through out the day from Ayeshah. It's great having that little piece of mind knowing that your child is very happy and well taken care of by a wonderful teacher as her. I would highly recommend Ayeshah to all parents!!" - Kelsey Alminayan on Facebook Page

No. There are no licensed “home daycares.” Only commercial daycares are required to have a license – home daycares are not required to be licensed.
Some home daycares are “approved” home daycares. In order for daycare fees to be subsidized, they must attend an “approved” home daycare. These daycares are approved by larger daycare centers.
We do not have any subsidized placements and we are an independent home daycare.
